Um, Okay...

Mr. Hedhurtz: "I had a horrible migraine this weekend. Worst I've had in years. It was so bad I was thinking of going to the emergency room."

Dr. Grumpy: "Did you?"

Mr. Hedhurtz: "No, I went to the casino instead."

So, instead of curling up under a blanket and hiding from all lights and sounds, he actually goes a loud, noisy area with lots of blinking bright lights.

Yep, makes perfect sense to me!

Did it work?

How do you manage to hold yourself back from screaming at people?

Grumpy, M.D. said...

Helen- because Annie will kill me if I do.

But they are BEGGING you to strangle them!!!! It's justifiable homicide!

Casino? Sure bet way to GET a migraine if you ask me!--flashing lights, noise, smoke...

I think Annie should let you yell at them just a little bit. Nah, I know you just have to hold it in and get another Diet Coke--though I'm telling you, sometimes margaritas work better...

There is something to be said about the theory of distraction - she would've been so into her game that the migraine went away... *shrugs*

Ummm.......I believe in the theory of distraction but it has to be in an environment that does NOT exacerbate a migraine. I have never been to a casino and one of the reasons is it looks like a sensory night mare to me.

I think eye rolling would be acceptable if screaming is not.

Thanks!
