Perhaps she does have tornadoes in her nose... Did you ask her to blow her nose and see if swirling winds of death came spewing out? Hmm? Well Didja? Bet ya'd feel pretty bad when those tornadoes came out and destroyed everything around you...
Either way, gotta love what the doctor SAYS versus what the patient HEARS... can often provide a good laugh.
I did this to my son's allergist's nurse but I warned her up front. She had asked what we were using for the eczema patches on his legs and I told her this wasn't the name of it but I always saw the name as acetone. She knew what I meant right away.
It's really Alclometasone - had to go grab the tube to spell it out. Sort of looks like acetone, right?
This blog is entirely for entertainment purposes. All posts about patients, or my everyday life, or anything else may be fictional, or be my experience, or were submitted by a reader, or any combination of the above. Factual statements may or may not be accurate. I could be making all this up. I may not even be a doctor. The only true statement on here is that I probably drink more Diet Coke than you do. A lot more.

This is exactly why I think doctors should write down their dx! But then I think about doctors' handwriting and wonder if it would do any good...
At least she didn't have inflamed tomatoes in her nose
