Mrs. Hedake: "They painted my office building last month, and I just know that's what's causing my migraines."
Dr. Grumpy: "How long have you had migraines?"
Mrs. Hedake: "I've had daily migraines since 1995."
Dr. Grumpy: "Have they changed since the building was painted?"
Mrs. Hedake: "No. Same type as before."
Dr. Grumpy: "Then why do you feel the paint has affected them?"
Mrs. Hedake: "Because I think they'd have gone away if they hadn't painted it."

Wait - she's had migraines on a daily basis for 14 years and she's just getting around to going to the doctor... ?
makes sense to me... what?

'It's that excruciating shade of blazing orange sherbet that jars my head so when I get there in the morning and it just doesn't go away after that'.
"I know they would have gone away if they hadn't painted....so can you sign off on my workman's comp claim?"
Here's my diagnosis: she must have a brain tumor the size of a casaba melon that is causing her to be so FREAKING STUPID! But, of course, I have not had the benefit of medical school; I merely work in a hospital.
It all makes perfect sense! She is psychic! She has known for 14 years that they were going to paint, and the psychic pain of this potential pain has caused her such horrific pain! If the pain has yet to end, that must mean that she is anticipating the great painting of 2023!
Or, she could be completely and utterly insane...
People like that really GIVE people
with migraines a bad name. Besides
everyone with migraines KNOW it is
the position of planet alignments
that cause migraines!
Heard this AM on talk radio. More "clinical" logic:
A "nurse" called in complaining that she would never receive the swine flu vaccine, as, unlike regular flu vaccine, it is not produced using chicken eggs (?), and she thinks the government is producing swine flu vaccine using human fetal tissue (???).
For the sake of at-risk patients, I hope she at least has the sense to stay home if she develops flu symptoms. I also hope she doesn't actually work in health care.
And I think that if I leave my daughter's room alone long enough, it will clean itself without any intervention from me.
The powers of wishful thinking...
a reverse sort of cause and effect?
Gotta love human logic :)
Kind of like when I tell people, "this extra 20 pounds . . . I'm still trying to lose that weight from having kids."
People ask, "How old are your kids?"
The baby's 21. . .
That's the part I don't want to tell.
