As I got out of my car in the doctor's lot, I passed another doc who was leaving. He had a bumper sticker that said "Driver is medicated for your safety".
It's scary enough to see this on another doc's car. What's even worse is that he's a psychiatrist.

BWAHAHAHA!
TEAM SHRINK!
At least he's being honest. I've met a few psychiatrist that should have been on heavy doses of antipsychotics.
LD50 Rat
lol! *priceless* OK, Dr. Grumpy, that's your cue: where's our snarky bumper-sticker?
Grumpy Stickers!!!
Surely the bumper sticker is a joke -- I know, don't call you Shirley! Seriously, is this an "official" bumper sticker? And where can I get one (along with the meds!)?!
It was real. Spooked me. At least it wasn't on a U.S. Post Office van.
Okay, I put up a bumper sticker.
There are a LOT of docs who should be medicated...
Saw a Tshirt at KMart today saying "Medicated for your Protection". Would like to buy it for some doctors I know.
ONLY a shrink would have that bumper sticker.
I'm pretty confident it was a joke. A shrink with a sense of humor is a good thing. Next best is a neurologist with a sense of humor. ;)
I daren't put that in my car is this is a very small community! I don't like the GP who has taken over from my now-retired GP, and I laughed like a lunatic, when I read my swineflu appointment sticker which was printed out "19.15, Dominic, Swine" !!!! I already know that but it's nice to have confirmation!
Maybe you should hand them out to your seizure patients.
Wouldn't that hurt their feelings?
Maybe he has epilepsy?
I think he was making a funny.
Old MD Girl- he was joking. I've known him for a while, he's a good guy. Just never saw that on his car before.
whats wrong with making the odd joke, we are allowed a sense of humour. a pharmacist friend of mine has the words "I sell drugs to children" on a t-shirt
Nothing wrong with it. As I said above, I know he was making a joke. I thought it was funny.
Maybe my use of "spooked" above was a poor choice. "Surprised" would have been better.
As a psychiatrist, I ask you more: what's wrong with him being medicated? If he's medicated, at least he's being treated for whatever's wrong (and you know many of us doctor's have as many problems as anybody else).
But, yeah, everybody is a little uncomfortable about psychiatric problems :P
Unrelated: Still reading back on your blog, this is great!
Vivian- There's nothing wrong with it. As I said above, I know he was making a joke. I thought it was funny.
A lot of people took this post more seriously then I meant it to be taken.
And if he is taking medications, I have no problem with that. Everyone is human, and has something.
