Helping the handicapped

I'd like to thank my reader AggEd for submitting these pictures she took of a well-marked handicapped parking space at her local mall.

Couldn't they have found something other than the head of a fly swatter to use??

I don't think that makes it a legal handicap space in most jurisdictions.

Probably set up by someone wanting that parking spot. Almost like a phony fire hydrant.

So, is the handicapped person supposed to get out of the car and bend over to see what it is?

I wonder if perhaps someone just wanted to save a good, but ordinary parking spot for themselves and so improvised a disabled sign to keep most people out of the spot.

w.v. is lentsam as in I lent Sam my disabled permit even though he is not disabled.

Are Lilliputians considered handicapped in the US?

Heck...I wouldn't park there. Those hadicapped parking police out there will ticket you in a heartbeat. I once pulled into a favorite restaurant, only to come out and find a ticket on my car.

Turns out in the last few days the restaurant had decided to make it a handicapped spot. They slapped a tiny sticker in the window of the restaurant in front of the spot. There was no blue chair stencil on the ground or anything. I was soooo pissed. $50 bucks down the drain.

Perhaps a maturity-impaired driver ran over the regular sign, and a common-sense-impaired employee replaced it. Perfectly appropriate.

Gen, I feel your pain. We had a neighbor in the office park who zealously guarded the HC parking space outside of our building for the use of his fatsos. One fine day the police showed up to ticket a Corvette in the space, greeted roundly by Dr. Larddoc as well as the owner of the offening 'Vette, formerly a Vietnam dustoff pilot whit severe disabilities from being shot down.
The car didn't have a little blue dangly tag on its mirror and while the cops were writing the ticket, a $276 fine, the owner pointed out a permanent handicapped license plate displayed nefariously on the rear of the car.
For some reason Dr. Larddoc and the fuzz didn't want to go to court to punish this scofflaw.

Probably one of your Parkinson's patients ran the original one over.

Needs to be submitted to thereifixedit.com!

Perhaps someone who was driving-handicapped took out the real sign and this is a temp while the real one is being replaced.
