3-for-1 idiocy

Tonight alert reader Lee, from Phoenix, sent me not one, not two, but THREE articles on the exploits of some very special people.

First, if you're going to steal a vehicle, you should get something that blends into traffic.

Second, if you're going to court on drunk driving charges, try to show up sober.

And last, even if you're a cop doing a drunk driving demo, you should remember not to drive drunk.

Thank you, Lee!

Alright, that first one is just poor planning all the way around. These two non-Einsteins stole the forklift "in order to sell it for metal scrap." Couldn't you get a lot more money selling it as, I don't know, a forklift?

How about a little risk-reward analysis here, people?

The cops used risk reward when they arrested him. Should we stun gun him and run the risk of being criticized or should we have a little fun. Let's go with fun. ZAP.

I suppose it's also not a good choice to steal a forklift with the *bellowing* exhaust option. Those ones are really noisy.

One of the more instructive days in my practice as a forensic toxicologist was when appearing in court as an expert witness for a police sergeant who was being prosecuted for drunk driving, the sergeant turned up in court the worse for drink. Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
