No. No, you can't.
Was this patient either over 70 or a grandpa? If so, it was "almost (I repeat almost cute)!"
Otherwise, Dear G-d!
Sorry, gang. He's 48.
Is it just me, or is anyone else getting really, really scared?
My guess is that he had no clue what the heck claustrophic means! Geesh!
U hafta b making this stuf up - I can't bleave it
it's so hard to try to assume everyone is an idiot. it scares me to think how many times i thought i successfully explained something to someone but truly failed.
"Yes, ever since I was a kid and I got beaten up every year by the shopping mall Santa."
At least he didn't say No, I'm Italian....
Kim- come spend a day in my office. Or any doctor's office.
Even worse are some of the clinics. My kids and I had to switch our psychiatrists because none of use could stand being in the waiting room anymore. Well, that and the doctor who didn't actually listen to us and talked to me as opposed to my teenagers. grrrrrrrrr.
Trust me, some of the people in that waiting room were downright scary and I really felt for the pdocs & therapists who were having to see them. If it wouldn't have been construed as rude, there were a number of times I felt like covering my kids' ears so they wouldn't have to be exposed to some of the conversations.

Took me a bit to "get it" and only after the -sound- of the word sunk in, my theory:
Mr Bakpayn works in a noisy environment and suffers from significant hearing loss, being male and under 90 he does not admit to same.
When he did not understand the word he bluffed rather than admit he did not hear the question.
As Homer Simpson would say - "D'Oh!"
Why I added your wonderful blog to my blog roll. Your stories are either thoughtful and interesting, or LOL funny.
The Observer--RN in Kansas City metro.
I'm surprised he didn't say, "I don't know. Am I?"
Bawhaha, it'll be a fun one if he finds out the answer is 'Yes' during the scan.
I'm mean...: 0:-)
"No. But the MRI will show it if it's there."
