Never saw that kind before

I'd like to thank McDuck Vet for sending this. She says it was in a veterinary supply offer she received.

Oral, rectal, or one of each?

It's one of those new technologically advanced thermometers. Just place it onto your patient, and their temperature is announced into the earpieces. Switch bell for metric or English.

One end for oral, the other for rectal.

Simples!

Maybe there's a cricket in the bell. The temperature of the patient affects the frequency of its chirping.

Specially made for people with dual heads. What is it about your right head that refused to grasp the artistry of the device. Your left head got it.

One for large animals - cow, horse, etc. and one for small animals - cat, rabbit, ferret, teacup-poodle, etc.

Probably digital rather than mercury, and there are NO oral veterinary thermometers.

Veterinary medicine is going backwards. Back in my day, thermometers were little things. The one pictured there looks to be as big as a stethoscope!
