How can I leave this behind?

Okay. There are many ways to give yourself a bigger butt if you so desire (I personally like eating PB M&M's).

But injecting your ass with "Fix-a-Flat" isn't one of them.

Thank you, Rick & EMTGFP!

That is so horrible. People can be such suckers and the woman who did that is a big jerk face for taking advantage of people and putting their lives at risk.

PS, is it really that bad for you?

Kidding..kidding

omgosh. I saw this yesterday. Fix a Flat??? Cement?? People are stupid but come on. Really. What about that sounds remotely like a good idea. The victims are too embarrassed to come forward, lol.

I thought the mug shot was the victim, at first. If a person is dumb enough to look at that Morris person and then decide it's a good idea to let him/her inject stuff in their butt- then they got what they deserve. Talk about a "dumbass."

to me, it seems that the individuals involved MUST be crazy in some way... any ideas for diagnoses? body dysmorphic disorder?

Aw c'mon, Dr. Grumpy, the woman needed a bigger butt for attraction purposes.
And another thing, some doctors think only they can do enhancing applications. With some silly putty and a stitvhed on wig, I now look like the young Elvis!

I thought the song went, "I just can't leave this behind." Am I remembering it wrong?

I read this article yesterday and actually had a dream about it last night. I was hoping against hope that it wasn't real when I woke up this morning, but alas.

In Brazil, it is common for transgendered prostitutes to inject their butts and breast areas with industrial silicone. I read an ethnography (I think it was called Travesti) on these people when I was in grad school. It's creepy what these transgendered people were willing to do!

As a health professional, I of course think both the victim and the bizarrely-contoured perpetrator were 18 different kinds of crazy to try this. As a trans person, though, I resent Vicki's comment on trans people being "creepy". Perhaps if society didn't treat us like dirt on the bottom of "normal" peoples' shoes, those poor Brazilian women wouldn't be so likely to engage in such desperate behavior. Trans people (particularly transwomen) are many times more likely to be beaten, raped, fired, evicted, shunned and even killed than any other group. Our suicide and substance abuse rates are correspondingly high. It is painful enough to be forced to live in a body that doesn't fit; why make it harder with socially-accepted cruelties?

...as an aside, this weekend was the annual Trans Day of Remembrance. The world is not a better place without those we have lost.
