Oh, for hell's sake

Santa Claus is (roughly) 1700 years old. He's changed dramatically over time, from his original name of St. Nikolaos of Myra to the guy we see in department stores and selling Coke on TV.

So it was only a matter of time before the A-word caught up with him, too.

Thank you, Susan!

So we shouldn't expect him to make the gift suggestions list for 2011?

Is he also organic?

Artisanal: handmade by a skilled manual worker or craftsperson.

Anything mass-produced on an assembly line (such as this Santa) would be excluded by this definition.

You can't spell artisanal without anal.

It's the same size as an American Girl doll. Just sayin'.

Good. Grief.

A "worldly" Santa. How nice...
Well, at least they admit it.

Before the rest of Christmas becomes 'artisanal', I can verify that this year's White House Christmas tree actually came from a non-artisanal tree farm less than ten miles from where I live.

Sheesh. What OTHER assaults do we have to protect Christmas from?
