It amuses me that your posts seem to line up with my exam material. Seizures/epilepsy was on the exam this morning. I won't comment how I did on that section, though. I did much better on Huntington and Parkinson's.
I see many POS patients, but of the other POS variety.
Huh... I immediately assumed that POS meant "point of service." I can't even remember where I used that abbreviation in the past. Perhaps the industrial supply company from hell?
I had a pt at the pharmacy and we were talking about his PCP and I thought he said, Dyck. But he said Cooke. My ears are congested. So I said, just go ahead and put Dr. Dyck as your PCP and he gives me the craziest look and goes, if thats what you call him??? I asked him again who he and he said Cooke and I screeched, EEEK! I am so sorry! I thought you said Dyck, I am not calling him one....

Based on the blog, the answer is "an S load of them"... but that's not the POS abbreviation they seem to want.

Too freakin' many! Haha :)
Point of Sale? Well, in theory, all of them are that.
I Googled "POS patient" & saw many different results. Call me Asperger's for being too literal, but educate me about this joke?
I have a POS insurance plan, and it is.
Piece of Sh*t
When you see a POS patient, be sure to note in their chart "f/u as needed"
POS?
The first thing that comes to mind (I work in IT) is Point of Sale. Cash registers and the like.
The second is Passenger of Size. The politically correct term for the fat guy who is spilling over into your seat on the airplane.
For some aircraft and military vehicles, POS is point of service.
Just to add to the confusion! :-)
ha ha... "all of them" OK, too mean, but I cannot resist.

I'd just refer them to your blog
