Some of my favorite memories of my youth are watching Columbo and Kojak with my dad.

Did you ever see "Murder by Death"? It was an ensemble cast with Falk and Eileen Brennan playing his "mol".

Murder By Death is my all-time favorite movie... and I loved Peter Falk in it. He was a great comedic actor and he will be missed.

You might find this interesting, LaLa. The day after I saw MBD, my friend and I went to Southampton, NY to do some window shopping. Guess who we ended up following behind while walking around! Not Falk....it was Truman Capote. We were just teenagers and if we hadn't seen the movie the night before, we wouldn't have recognized him.
Favorite scene from The In-Laws: when he was talking about the giant mosquitoes.
From Vibes (don't think it's been mentioned yet): "So, we're discounting the bouncing theory?"
It was amazing what he could say with a straight face.
The day he died I happened to make a Columbo joke with my daughter. She and her Dad were supposed to be leaving for the cottage. Everytime I thought they were gone, one of them popped back in for something they'd forgotten. I said, "You remind me of Columbo! 'One thing I forgot..' "
Um, I forgot to mention that I was not aware he had died when we had that conversation. Columbo was always one of my favourite characters.
