Math

Due to an insane day, I was ordered to stop by Taco Bell to get dinner.

Gumwad: "Welcome to Taco Bell."

Dr. Grumpy: "Hi, can I get the taco party pack for $10?"

Gumwad: "Okay, what size? We have 10 regular tacos for $10, or 12 regular tacos for $10. Your choice."

The machine has pictures for orders, specifies how much change, the clerk only has to wear a special shirt and keep their hands clean. In this environment, there is no need for math.

I went to Boston Market as a kid with my family once, and they asked if we wanted the free pie with our meal...my dad stared at the cashier and exclaimed, "Of COURSE we want the free pie!"

Who wouldn't?

Annie- they were hoping you'd say "no" so the kitchen staff could eat it.

Which of the tacos were artisanal, the expensive ones or the cheap ones ?~! And which is which ? Why are they expecting me to do the math...

I gotta go to Mickey D’s instead.

I'm gonna go ahead and stand up for the kid. I frequent McDonald's for a coke and even though all the sizes are a dollar I still get the small bc I don't need the extra calories. Now I'm not feeding a family but he's just giving you the option.

haven't been to taco bell (more of a taco john's fan) in a while but if I remember right with the 10 pack you can actually choose some to be bean burritos. Plus you can add on a mexican pizza for a couple of bucks. So a few differences, but still a dumb way to word it.

sometimes less is more

i did the math, i came to the conclusion that no matter which one you chose, it wouldn't be enough to feed your whole family.

So... which one did you choose??

O--The diet 10 dollar pack.

Cheap entertainment late night, watching the stoners pig out at the bell.

I work at taco bell, and that person is an idiot if they actually said that to you out loud. I mean really?

I am a vegetarian. Once-upon-a-time I ordered a Mexican pizza at Taco Bell "without the meat." The cashier was nonplussed, and finally consented, but warned me that she would "have to charge you for double meat."

Just wait till all restaurants are Taco Bell (probably the scariest movie future ever).

Who wouldn't want the free pie? Someone who can't eat pie!

"I'll take the 14 regular tacos for $10, instead."

It isn't as stupid as it sounds. Like Junior said, many people choose the smaller one when given the option. As a former fast food employee, I had several incidence where I would just give the customer the better deal (Thinking, why wouldn't you want to save money, right?) only to be yelled at them because that's "not what they ordered". I remember one lady vividly who ordered items separately that could be ordered in a combo meal, thereby saving her $1. I rang her up for the combo meal (To save her the $1) and she proceeded to chew me out about how she didn't want or order the combo meal. I gave up after that and would just give people exactly what they ordered.

I do my own oil changes on both mine and the wife's car. Went to buy the filters and they had nice "sale" stickers over the shelf pricing. I lifted it only to reveal that the "sale" price was higher than the regular price. When I pointed that to one of the employee, he just replied that usually folks don't look under the sale tag...

I'll take the 10 tacos. You see I'm trying this new thing where I get less for what I pay.
