Reasons I love Annie

Annie: "Dr. Grumpy's office, this is Annie."

Mrs. Somnus: "Hi, I need something to help me sleep."

Annie: "Let me look at your chart... Boy, you've already tried a bunch... Have you been on Dozeaway?"

Mrs. Somnus: "No, but a friend told me it made her too sleepy the next morning, so I don't want that."

Annie: "What about Snorefast?"

Mrs. Somnus: "That's not covered on my plan. Do you have something to help me sleep that's inexpensive and has no side effects?"

Annie: "Buy a teddy bear."

Bravo Annie!
All of us who deal with idiots salute you.
Especially those of us who are continually in the bad graces of our politically correct bosses for not catering to morons.

Good on you Annie! However, Teddy Bears ARE durable medical equipment. Just ask my two (male and female) who took theirs to college with them. The 24-year old graduate still has hers on the bed!
Amazing things, Teddies. No matter how gungy and tattered, they keep on working. Don't tell the FDA.

As someone who still uses a teddybear (well, actually a polar bear named "Snuffles") I can attest to their efficacy. I started during menopause when I needed something to cuddle that was not heat generating and I never gave it up. One little hug and I'm off to dreamland.

My son has 2 stuffed Koala bears and they both have toy speech processor. He woke up with them in his bed in the recovery room after both of his cochlear implant surgeries. I guess, technically, insurance must have covered those!

I love Annie. And I love Dr. Grumpy for supporting such an attitude, instead of demanding idiotic PC behaviour from his staff.

Or, instead of a teddy bear, try reading a textbook on accounting (or neurology).

AWESOME!!

A text on electricity and magnetism always worked for me. Kudos to Annie. And I agree, Grumpy Neurology sounds like a great place even tho the boss is a yak herder.

Good for Annie, but does she realize she could be arrested for practicing medicine without a license?

Seriously though, half a Seroquel works nicely. A whole one will leave you too groggy in the morning.

Annie is much more helpful than my doctor. I told him I was having a lot of trouble sleeping, and he looked at me and said "So?".

When I sent my little boy to visit his granny in Japan, he took a honey bear to help with 'jet lag'. When he went away to college, he donated his rainbow stripey hand-crocheted bear, panda, and blueberry bear, and bunny rabbits to local emergency rooms, bur the honey bear still sits in his corner.

Funny werification word: tricare?
