Why use your brain when you can buy an EMR and look like an idiot?

This is from a patient note that another doc faxed to my office this morning. The only things I've whited out listed the patient's pharmacies.

student dr. blaze said...: EMRs are always programmed by people who know nothing about medicine. It's totally counterintuitive. I ended up basically having to re-program the one at my last job because it never printed what the surgeons wanted it to say. If I saw this, though, it'd be way too tempting to program it to say Oral and Anal. ;-); December 14, 2009 at 8:50 PM
