I saw your Diet Coke and was like...mmmm...rum and Diet Coke...then I noticed the ad immediately under this post was for "Sober College Rehab".

These Google ads are SMART!

You can keep those. I'll stick with the orange juice and milk. :)

Diet Vanilla coke for me. Or just plain ole Vanilla coke. Occasionally with rum.
A much better source of caffeine than nosocomial coffee.

You're my kinda guy, Grumpy.

Of course, rum added to it helps when you're dealing with patients. ;)

LOVE it! My boss used to say he was going to try and figure out how to give it to me I.V., just so I wouldn't have to stop and take a sip..

Clearly you are not a connoisseur.

It is common knowldge that fountain Diet Coke is vile and repugnant in comparison to the canned or bottled variety.

Dragonfly - "nosocomial coffee" *priceless* :-)

Dr. Grumpy - why don't you get Diet Coke to sponsor your blog so that we don't all have to keep seeing nasty pictures in "I was a fat slob" ads? Just a thought....

You know, that's a lot of Diet Coke... what would your doctor say?

I'd say it's never enough!

Me, I like flavored seltzer water. If I drink diet soda I like diet Cherry Pepsi. 'Course, I can't do without my coffee though.

I couldn't handle the thought of consuming such vast quantities of artificial sweeteners as you do, I don't know how you do it. I keep thinking of all those alternative medicine quacks who say the stuff gives you cancer- I know they are quacks but it still scares me-

Notice that more than one person suggested the addition of rum?

Grumpy, M.D. said...

ER's Mom- yeah, I agree, but I try not to come to the office drunk (or even tipsy, as tempting as it sounds.

Back when I taught MCAT classes in college I did that on occasion. And most of my students still did well. I'm not convinced the 2 factors were related, but you never know.

Rum is for after hours. Not at hospital :-) As I am not being taught by Captain Jack Sparrow.

yyyyuuummmmmmmmm all that carbonated water, high fructose corn syrup, caramel color, phosphoric acid, caffeine, aspartame, potassium benzoate and
citric acid! are you a doctor or a test tube, grumpy?

Just as long as the other drawer in the fridge isn't filled with Sweet and Low packets.
