While trying to loosen the lid (representing an outer layer of skin) the entire thing shattered into a bazillion pieces of plastic and rubber.
Ed will therefore be remaining in his usual home.

I was wondering about that. Too bad! That would have been so cute. But wouldn't it be so cool to find some hollow coral structures and light them up with little LEDs and somehow waterproof them and stick them in Ed's tank. Hmmm, silicone sealant and little plastic boxes for the wires, buried in gravel. What an idea.
Thanks for the update!
Does the phrase "Use only as directed" mean nothing anymore?
Pictures please?
Sorry, already swept up the pieces and tossed.
aww, that's too bad. i could've written about Ed of the Epidermis in my histology paper. guess now i have to limit my discussion to the usual contents, huh? ;-)
(word verification: ballasm. now there's something worth writing about....)
What a drag. I was hoping that it worked and we would get a picture of it. Oh well, I'm sure some company will send you another model that you can turn into a home for Ed. Nice try!
See, if you had sent it to someone like me; a miniaturist who is an expert at carefully disassembling things, you would not have these regrets.
Then again, with Ed's suicidal tendencies, this perhaps could have pushed him over the edge. The last thing you need is a beta having a psychotic episode.
And another one bites the dus--rubber.
Hum, just doesn't sound as good.
Ed's better off staying put - we don't need pets getting plastic-ized like people.
they just don't make drug company freebies like they used to.
Stitch- that was funny, what you said about Ed- hahahahaha- :-D
Oh, waht a shame! Can't you manufacture a replacement so there could be all pretty neon tubes for Ed? It would give him a whole new interest in life!
That tricky stratified squamous epithelial tissue always sl uncooperative!
Why didn't you photo the broken remains? Ah well :(
How did you try to take it apart, with Diet Coke and Sweet 'n Low?
