Hi, honey, I'm home.

Seen in a hospital chart:

Definitely a case of mixed prepositions and a call to the grammar police is warranted. Wet noodles, anyone?

Sorry, the symptoms are more indicative of a bad case of reverse pronouns.

I am an internist and although this sounds ridiculous it really happens. It defies logic.

Or as we say, Honey what is the number for 911.

One part is missing and that is the age of the parties and in my mind that plays a big part. I have met some advanced elderly who really don't give a shit. But as my brother is want to say :"Sometimes you don't die and when that happens you sometimes wish you did" Cause who wants to spend the remaining years of life in a long term facility ? Get to the ER.

Maybe I'm over-sensitive, but if my wonderful wife displayed those symptoms, the heck with work. Family first, work second.
Something like this scenario is one of my recurring nightmares, though.

I've got nuthin'. I'm just sitting here shaking my head. I know this really happens. But, I still shake my head. Really, how often does one wake up with slurred speech and hemiplegia that resolves on it's own?

Some years ago, I remember reading that Pat Nixon didn't tell Dick when she had those symptoms...she didn't want to bother him (and believed it/she would be a bother)

Oh, apparently my ex-husband has remarried.

Had a lady last week who woke up in the middle of the night needing to vomit. She ran into the bathroom, had severe chest pain and hollered to her husband. He woke up, said "go back to bed, we'll talk about it in the morning."

She was still sitting on the toilet when the coroner got there.

Sadly, I see this ALL the time. And not just with the elderly, either. I'll never understand what people are thinking.

Maybe this guy could marry the lady who didn't want her Thanksgiving trip spoiled by taking her husband to the ER. After both their spouses die from neglect.
