I suspect that what they really mean is "a male or female MS patient who is trying to have a child."
Ain't English great?
well, if it's a male patient wishing to become pregnant, you tell them to continue to medication and hope for a miracle, right?
I would advise the male to follow through with the psych referral I am giving him.
I would, as a nurse, gently explain to the male patient where babies come from. Then I would go find a doctor for a psych consult.
Estrogen. Lots and lots of estrogen.
All of the above of course another good example of stupidity but I have only one argument into their defense...nope, no just another example, let's take ipledge system - does it make sense, the verification process of being not pregnant for male patient as well as for female?
Refer them to one of those surgeons who does gender reassignment. And leave the dosage as it is :-)
This is just the logical progression from stupid comments like "we're trying to get pregnant" or the announcement "we're pregnant." At times I try to point out to the man the biological impossibility of his statement, other times I just roll my eyes.
If it was a male, I'd probably say "Alert the media". LOL
