I'd like to have that. What self respecting thief would want it? Since I have terminal clumsiness, those handles would be just the ticket - and the ring abacus feature is a bonus! Too bad it doesn't have a horn...

Though knowing how many people let their small children use apps or watch vids on their iPhones, I can see the market.
Not kidding, my wife almost bought that for my kids. Atleast it would have kept their sticky little fingers off my ipad.
I actually bought that as a present for my friend;s 14 month old... they let him play with their old iphone
"Recommended for ages 6 months to 4 years." Must have een national insanity day. Or they're just plain nuts.
My place of work, among other things, fixes iOS devices. We need to start selling this to increase the number of iOS devices that need to be repaired. It's for the economy! It creates jobs!

I think it actually won an award for worst toy somewhere.
My husband bought the kid (she's three) a cheap-o smartphone off ebay to put her kid-friendly apps on. It's come in quite handy a few times, actually. That said, she doesn't have free access to it nor does she get it very often or for very long at a time. Still, it's kinda sad that my toddler has a smartphone while I do not. :p

I have to admit I like the idea, I have a few games for my son on my phone, to distract him when waiting at doctors surgeries or other appointments, and it would be ideal to not have to worry about him being able to make phone calls.

My mom bought her 12month old granddaughter one for christmas, because she is just fascinated by making the graphics move.
actually I considered this for my 11 yo autistic son. We went with an OtterBox, mainly bc he doesn't drool and it fits in a pocket/purse better. I know the disability market is not a major toy market force, but I can tell you we all looked at this with interest. I doubt one of us gave a thought to what toddlers do with it.
And they have the phone mounted backwards in the picture. It would be a better product if there was a cover for the home button.
Teething. There's an app for that.
I think (actually, I know) I am getting old....but whatever happened to saying no to the toddler who wants to play with the parent's phone/gadget????
The thing that bothers me the MOST about this picture? The iPhone is in the toy upside-down. There's an obvious cutout for the home button.
It's driving me insane. I need anti-anxiety medication for this, can you write a scrip? ;)
Wow, I'm 45 years old and don't have an iphone, but people are giving them to their toddlers. I was aghast when a friend got their 6 year old her own cell phone (not a smart phone, just a phone), but that is nothing compared to this. By the time I can afford one, I'll probably be drooling, so maybe this is a good idea after all.

You can turn the phone around so the child cannot access the home button and accidentally call someone. It's designed to be worked either way.
That being said there is no way my kids would get a smart phone before me! LOL!
Have one. Love it. Saves my iPhone from being dropped and drooled on. Toddler does not have his own iPhone, toddler does have his own apps. Great for keeping him entertained when traveling. Note: this is simply a protective case for the iPhone.
We have this case. When you have a 15 hour road trip to complete in one day with a one year old by yourself, you totally hand your phone over in hopes that the videos and games keep down the crying! I immensely enjoyed the 30 minute stretches of silence from the backseat. And if it gets thrown? All good. ;)
My daughter gave my 18 mos granddaughter an iphone with a cracked front panel. I was amazed to see her chose pictures to enlarge, name the people in them, close the pictures, scroll through pictures, start videos... It kept her amused for a long time. However I understand that sometime later she got angry and threw it and that was the end of it.
