Dr. Grumpy: "What's wrong?"
Craig: "There was this girl who fell off the swings last week, and got knocked out. They took her to the hospital, and said she had a concussion."
Dr. Grumpy: "So what's the problem?"
Craig: "She's back, and I sat next to her yesterday. Today my head hurts, so I must have caught it from her."

Kid logic! Gotta love it.
Young love, it is contagious.
But onto hypochondria.Long time ago- Daughter then aged 8 is puking (can you say puking here), loudly and longly. Son then aged 5, is disturbed by the scene, starts wailing that he is sick too, mom says what is wrong. Diabetes, I have diabetes.
Still cracks me up.
Was that before or after the big test he was supposed to study for (oops, did I say that out loud?)
In our house it's always a tumor :)

I'm guessing that might have flown for a dad who was any OTHER specialty than neurology!
Perhaps were he to keep his eyeballs focused forward...
Next he'll be suffering from back pain caused by playing "drop the pencil", lol
You need to have one of the old huge glass syringes with a very large bore needle and a relabeled vial of saline as the new anti-sick drug. Your kids will never be sick again a day in their life.
Next time he needs to "catch" a condition his dad doesn't specialize in. Then he's got at least a minimal chance of getting away with it.
Does he know what you do for a living????
Has he been talking to your patients......??? lol
He does realize what his dad does for a living, right?
Whatever happened to good ol' cooties?? Danged fancy-pants kids these days...
I LOVE what kids come up with! Did
you counter with him, "dad 'catches' headaches from
patients and reps..I still work" ?
hahaha
@Annon:
Itz naht a tumah! (Sorry, couldn't resist a good Ahnold quote)
Sounds about right to me. Some pretty good thinking , actually.
Wrong doc to try that on.
Like when our kids claimed they had pneumonia.
Nice try Craig. But, your dad is a Doctor.
Please teach him the difference between concussions and cooties BEFORE he goes away to medical school.
Well, he has incorporated some sound concepts, like concussion=bad, concussion may be associated with headache, you can catch some badness via exposure. Unfortunately he has not incorporated them successfully, but A for effort. Nice tray, Craig.
It could have been worse. I'm on a couple of vent/snark groups for people with chronic illness/disability. Those of us with fibromyalgia & migraines have all been having skyrocking numbers of flares & migraines lately. I blame the internet. Obviously our connections on the internet are causing these flares. Which reminds me, I need to call my neurologist.
PS Does anyone know who invented the 'needleless' delivery system? They gave me some new migraine med at my pcp's office yesterday because I'd left my IV Imitrex injector at home. It hit a 10 for pain, bled like no tomorrow and kept hurting (although it went down to a 3-4) for about three hours. If anyone should see him/her/them, please give them a "Gibbs smack" for me. Thanks!
A+ for initiative! Nice try.
Oh, the doctor's son... Can't bull---- a bull----er, right?
