Mary, bring me a Diet Coke. With rum.

Dr. Grumpy: "Anything going on at home?"

Mrs. Bright: "Just a lot of stress. My husband told me this morning he has a computer virus. I hope my daughter doesn't get it, because she's already missed 5 school days out sick this quarter."

Don't forget the lime (in your DC, with or w/o the rum). It makes me less grumpy when I run across pts like that.

My aunt called me once when I had a cold. She didn't want to talk for too long because she was afraid she'd catch it.

Do you use medication so you don't laugh in their faces?

Can Mary stop off on L&D too with one? Pretty please?

Mrs. Bright is probably in even closer contact to her husband. Perhaps you should have run an antivirus scan on her.

Oh, I do hope "Little Bright" doesn't get it.... computer viruses require a z-pack, right?

Well, technically the brain is a computer, so I suppose...

I run a virus scan on my girls every night while they sleep - it searches and destroyes any malware they might have picked up during the day. They haven't missed a day of school this year!

"She missed the other five days due to computer viruses too. Not only that, but they erased all her Algebra I from her brain."

I suggest you skip the rum and go straight to Everclear. Hopefully you live in one of the states where they sell the real 190-proof stuff.

I don't think this requires great stupidity, only great ignorance of computers. If you don't realize "virus" can refer to something other than the biological version the mistake is quite understandable.

I wish I had thought of that excuse when I was at school. (although I doubt my parents would have been inane enough to buy it.)

So I guess they don't have a good
firewall for the family? Sad. Just
sad. When will parents ever learn to 'upload' a good firewall into their kids before school starts!

LGIF!!

I've been saying for YEARS that if they would just let me have a little rum at work that I'd be a far happier person behind the desk ;)

One of the funniest lines ever on Parks and Rec. Andy says: "I googled your symptoms and it looks like you could have Network Connectivity Error."

Love your blog, keep it up! I am a pharmacy tech so we are right there with you! :)
