Yesterday Mr. Huge returned, so I was wondering what the surgeon thought. I called over and asked them to fax his note. They said they'd get right on it.
5 minutes later, this helpful item showed up on our fax machine. This was all I got. One page.
Except for changing the names, I haven't altered it in any way.

mmm, helpful ... very!
LOL! At least they were being polite . . .
That was a very polite response to your request. A little short for my taste, but hey, we're used to having little to no information in the pharmacy.
Why no clever name for the neuro?

hm... you have pretty neat handwriting for a doctor.
I WISH that was my handwriting. Had to hit up Dr. Pissy to fill it in for me.
Those surgeons are so polite!
I thought about clicking to enlarge. Didn't seem as if it would help much though. Too funny! I can kind of hear the conversation at the other end, with the person who took your call insisting, "No! He said he wanted a NOTE from the doctor!! He didn't say anything about the patient's chart."
That wasn't even worth the effort! Ha! Why'd they even bother?
You asked what a surgeon thought, and you got a blank page. What's the surprise?
Does that mean that Dr. Pissy knows your and his secret identities?
surgeons dont need to think because everything we do is rote and sooooo easy.
Try rubbing the paper with lemon juice.
haha. that's great. (about the handwriting, I mean) I guess I get it though, someone could recognize your handwriting.
Good grief.
Hmmmm.....sounds like the patient had a very very thorough examination and visit with the surgeon....or maybe this is in response to the pt. having a HMO????
How do you deal with such an overwhelming amount of information on a daily basis??
Thank you - Regards -
What?!? He doesn't do the transphenoidal approach?

1) at the fact that the patient's moniker is "Huge, Dick" (yes, I'm 12)
2) My son was 8 months old when he was dx'd with hydrocephalus. His shunt was placed within 12 hours of the diagnosis - so we didn't really have much of a "relationship" with the neuro let alone the surgeon.
So? My husband and I are in the OR waiting room and the surgeon comes out, finds us and says " the surgery was a success, everything went well, do you have any questions?" ... AS HE'S WALKING AWAY.
I think they become surgeons so they don't have to deal with the conscious masses.
Anyway - I love your blog and appreciate what you (and the other good docs out there) do for folks like my son.
Thanks for the referral...Ka-ChiNg!!
