I found your blog last week and have slowly read through it during my breaks from studying (I'm a first year medical student). Ironically enough, the class I've been studying for is Functional Neuroscience. The course has me thinking maybe I'd like to be a neurologist...although considering your experiences, maybe I should rethink that haha :)
This blog is entirely for entertainment purposes. All posts about patients, or my everyday life, or anything else may be fictional, or be my experience, or were submitted by a reader, or any combination of the above. Factual statements may or may not be accurate. I could be making all this up. I may not even be a doctor. The only true statement on here is that I probably drink more Diet Coke than you do. A lot more.

I'm sure it's perfectly clear to him, haha.

NavyGirl- for all my pissing and moaning, I still like my job.
Some people are very concrete.
I'm trying to work up something clever about concrete and cement but it's just not working...

The ability to laugh is essential in many walks of life. Sounds like neurology is one of them! I love doctors with a sense of humor!
Was your patient Steven Wright? :-)
Honestly though, that one had to make you chuckle a bit. You were kind of asking for it :)
Did the patient happen to say "here's your sign" afterwards?

Your patients had an extra dose of stupid this week huh?
It's not too late to become a gynecologist.
Duh...what were you thinking trying to get more info from a patient....come on!! You're supposed to be psychic and just know the answers!!
I'd consider that to be a poor historian.
