Dr. Grumpy's Rules, #1024

No good will EVER come out of returning a Sunday morning message that begins with:

"Yeah, I have an appointment with Dr. Grumpy this morning, and your office building is all locked up."

As a third year medical student, your blog manages to instill within me a sense of dread mixed with the hope I already have for my future, if this is the sort of thing I have to look forward to...

Now that patient DEFINITELY needs your services!

Must be someone who never learned the "30 days hath September..." rhyme and didn't know January has 31 days and that today is not February 1st...

I actually did that once, though it wasn't a Sunday. The office had scheduled a dentist appointment for my daughter (in another city, 20 minutes away) and sent the reminder card the week before, but the doc was out of town at a conference that entire week. I didn't know that, so I called the exchange to find out what was wrong. He called me back immediately and felt really bad.

I was just glad it wasn't my fault. haha

OMG this is so true! I am always telling people that society is going downhill because so many people dont care and dont get mad about bad service etc!

Dr. Grumpy saves my life again! Particularly ghastly chaplain call weekend--I was afraid I'd never be able to laugh again!
