...when I was a kid, I cut the hair off my barbies to make them dykes. Before that, I cut their hair off in anger because they never walked, skated or danced like in the commericals.
Not only did I cut off Barbie's hair, but I drew on a beard, and sawed her breasteses off with a hack-saw. I really, really wanted a Ken doll, but Mom wouldn't get me one...
I swore I wouldn't get my daughter any Barbies, but it's weird...my son was like a magnet to cars and trucks and my daughter to Barbie and princess stuff. I am w/Chris...she gets all excited about a new Barbie and then the first thing she does is rip the clothes off...we have about 200 nude Barbies floating around the house. I don't know where ANY of the clothes are. I'll bet I could make some money on e-bay from the little outfits she has squirreled away somewhere!!!!
as if i hadn't already lol-ed in my office, reading the comment from anonymous about the "suck it!" gesture caused a couple people to look in as they walked by b/c of the laughter that ensued! Good luck w/the one dr. grumpy!
Maybe I'm crazy, but it looks like that is a Barbie body with a Ken head attached. I always pulled off the heads and must admit I switched them on occasion if it suited my sense of humor. Pretty funny. Can't take everything that kids do (or we did as kids) too seriously.
This blog is entirely for entertainment purposes. All posts about patients, or my everyday life, or anything else may be fictional, or be my experience, or were submitted by a reader, or any combination of the above. Factual statements may or may not be accurate. I could be making all this up. I may not even be a doctor. The only true statement on here is that I probably drink more Diet Coke than you do. A lot more.

When a boy plays with a doll it's called an action figure...

Amazing. I'm pretty sure that during my childhood, I made the "ugly" Ken doll a cross-dresser, too.
Ken just got cast to play snow white - no worries!
The dress looks good on ken.
This is just the beginning, it gets more interesting/concerning as they grow up.
He fills that dress out nicely!

My little sisters would cut off their "ugly" barbie's hair, take away their clothes and they were made to work as slaves...
My eldest daughter used to cut their hair hair off too, and I christened one "Scrubbing Brush" as she looked just like one.
at least it has a head?!
...this reminds me of the time my poor son was conned into wearing a play princess dress when he was 4 by his three older sisters.
I brought some manly dress up stuff the next day.
I thought I was the only one who cut Barbie's hair!
ok...laughed out loud on this one.

Hey, at least he's got something on - my daughter's 6 and I'm pretty sure we have a Barbie nudist camp going on......
um- we took the cheap dollar "barbies" and cut the hair and pushed in the boobs to make boy dolls......
Key West Ken? FantasyFest Ken? Gay Pride Parade Ken?
Trannie Ken? (gotta look under the gown for that one...)
You know...the dress seems to actually fit.
Barbie doesn't have a vagina and Ken doesn't have any junk so what difference does it make. They're both ambiguous anyway.
I'm hoping this is making you feel better. Is it?

When I was a kid, the neighbors five year old boy liked me to dress him up like a girl. He just happened to grow up to be gay.
This was in the 80's before cross dressing was "cool."
it became 10x funnier when I noticed that Ken was making the "SUCK IT!" gesture.
