Poor kid. There is no feeling worse at that age than a wet bed.

Brings me right back to when I was four years old, 61 years ago.
Oh the poor little guy!!
ugh, I remember those days with mine.
My answer: Go put dry pajamas on and get in bed with me. We'll deal with your bed in the morning.
Many many years ago, I use to make my kids beds in two layers just for these emergency's.
Mattress pad, rubber sheet, fitted cotton sheet again rubber sheet fitted cotton sheet then the top sheet and blanket. When the mishaps happens just take off one layer and you have a clean bed again. They deal with the washing in the morning.
peedee - that makes two of us. no way in hell am i going to change pee-soaked sheets in the middle of the night.
I am clearly a bad person as I found that funny rather than coming out in sympathy.
I liked it either way.
how about cleaning up full on vomit and pee in the middle of the night...yup, done that before with DS.
So Dr. G., what did you do? roll over and went back to sleep? :)
:(
I had a couple brothers that had that problem--when they were young(er).
nuff said.
wow. are you the designated middle-of-the-night-bodily-fluid-accident-go-to guy, or did your wife already tell Craig to get lost?
Oh damn, why didn't I figure out that double-sheet/protective sheet trick years ago. My boy sleeps so sound he still does it about half the time and he's going on 7. We used to have to wake him up a few hours after he goes to sleep and get him to the toilet. Miss it and I chuck him in the shower, make the bed, etc etc- UGH. I did it though because I have always gone to bed far too late and was awake anyways.
Please tell me Craig doesn't know you're blogging this.
They make some really good water proof mattress covers now. They don't make you feel like you are sleeping in a plastic bag.
So what did you do, Grumpy?
told him to put them in the wash and sleep on the couch.
