Back to Work

Greeted by this headline list on the morning online news:

Hmmm, looks like the headline writer wasn't paying attention in class.

(Please note- this post is to get a giggle off an untimely spelling error. Political comments from either side will not be posted. There are plenty of political blogs for that).

Heard this on the radio news this AM while driving the lonely children to school. He must have been reading off accurate copy and not this one because it didn't sound like he had a lisp:)))

Wonder if this headline writer can spell "potatoe"?

Dr. G,
How old is your average reader? Maybe I'll have to explain my comment.

The spell-check technology that we see everyday obviously isn't being used by those who should be using it the most.

Today is the first day of school for my kids, and my daughter's first grade teacher sent us a note saying how happy she is to be our "first graded teacher." And this is a gifted class.

Heh. My high school handed out T-shirts to all the students (2000+) after receiving an award. The shirts noted that our school was "A Distinquished School."

They ended up handing out another set of shirts.

Maybe the writer updated the ticker via mobile device that doesn't have a proper spell check? When I enter "kidss" into my iPhone it doesn't say a thing. Typos happen to the best of us, we just have to hope no one notices before we do :).

LOL; I agree with you; someone didn't use spell check. spell check would have caught this one for sure!
