Seen in a medical journal

This is an advertisement for:

A. The new James Bond flick? Did they fire Daniel Craig?

B. That hot new cologne, eu d'Charcot.

C. Boy, those leather scrubs are really sexy. Wish my neurologist looked like that.

D. The DocMatic electric shaver for when (like this guy) you spent the night on the doctors lounge couch.

E. The sequel to "Hysteria" showing Dr. Granville perfecting his invention.

F. An ultrasound machine? Really? Are you kidding me? An effing ultrasound machine?

From this ad, I take it the majority of sonographers are heterosexual females, or gay men. As a heterosexual female though, I gotta say I don't find it attractive when guys are prettier than me.

Why on earth is this in a medical journal? My first impression was some sort of perfume ad!

In these difficult economic times, it takes more than just good looks and tight leather clothes to be a successful male prostitute. You need a portable ultrasound machine...

Packer, if I looked that good I wouldn't be doin' this stinkin' job. But thanks anyway!

No way! Not even if given unlimited guesses (unless, maybe if I looked at the screen - nah.)

Maybe they saw an opportunity to save advertising dollars: The ad company would either provide them with custom art and a focused campaign for big bucks, or, for fewer bucks, they would "re-work" an ad that they produced for someone else, but which failed to capture the bid. In this case, it was an ad for lap tops. You know - like re-conditioned car parts.

Given that the ad was in a medical journal, it touted "getting to the point," and called itself "Dr. Accuracy," I sincerely hoped it was for a good EMR system. (Some might think that EMR stands for Electronic Medical Record - that's just what they tell the public. Those of us who have to use them know that EMR really stands for Even More Redundancy.)
