AAAAAAAAAAARRRGHHH!!! What do you mean "you are not alone!"?? Who's there? I thought I was alone!! What are you DOING HERE? Where did all these people come from? Are you SURE I am not alone??? HEEEEELP MEEEEEEE!!!!!
I started reading your blog about a month ago. I'm a first year in med school... done in 2 weeks! We're currently doing neuroscience. I have an exam on Monday. So naturally, I'm reading your blog and playing Angry Birds.
Anon 8:16 - I think you're confusing social anxiety with agoraphobia, Dr. Grumpy.
Actually anxiety patients often want to be alone when they're having a panic attack. Sometimes they don't want to be around anyone at all or anyone but family because their anxiety levels are high.
This blog is entirely for entertainment purposes. All posts about patients, or my everyday life, or anything else may be fictional, or be my experience, or were submitted by a reader, or any combination of the above. Factual statements may or may not be accurate. I could be making all this up. I may not even be a doctor. The only true statement on here is that I probably drink more Diet Coke than you do. A lot more.

How is that supposed to make me feel better?
Next you will be throwing a surprise party for me and inviting a lot of people I don't know. :-)
