We all scream for ice cream

My kids (okay, me too) like ice cream. Who doesn't?

And whenever a new, cool-sounding flavor shows up at Local Ice Cream Shoppe, I'll usually try a taste spoon, and maybe order it.

This one, however, I'll have to think about
... Even if it is artisanal.

Thank you, Wellillbe!

I think this comes under, "just because you can, doesn't mean you should". Ewww.

In this case, I'd take the last "a" off of "Gaga".

::head:laptop:: I winced twice. Once at the thought of the product itself and once at the thought of all those infants who could have used the donated milk!

-someone who couldn't pump with a hospital grade pump!

certified hormone filled?
I actually do find the practice of adults drinking the milk of any animal to be a bit odd. I did nurse my children but we are a non dairy house cause well milk is weird.

I agree with two previous posters. Human milk is for human consumption, cow's milk is designed for cow consumption. Why are people grossed out by this??? I don't get it. (BTW&FYI human breastmilk is sweeter than cow's milk.)

The problem I have with it is (like another pointed out already) the thought of how many babies could benefit from breastmilk! It is infinitely better than formula in many ways and I know there are women around the world that cannot nurse for a variety of reasons but would love the chance to give their babies this LIQUID GOLD!!

Disgusting.

We don't eat human meat, do we? At least I don't.

That's just gross, and I'm a big (cow's) milk drinker.

Agree with some of the others:
Human milk is designed for humans, but we're grossed out when weaned people consume it. However, we're fine with consuming bovine milk. As much as I enjoy dairy products, I'm now starting to NOT enjoy thinking about it.

This doesn't creep me out. I'm sure they filter the donors so you don't have to worry over any chance of bad stuff being included in your ice cream.

I nursed my three, and once made some cornbread with extra milk because we were out. Didn't taste any different than if i'd used regular milk. :) My husband thought it was funny but I suppose there's more of a closeness involved in that than donor milk from a stranger.

Gotta love free market capitalism!

I nursed each of my three kids for over a year. I think breast milk is amazing. Yes, I tasted it. Curiosity will do that. (A previous commenter is right: It *is* sweeter than cow's milk.)

But drink someone else's? I know it's not entirely rational, but that just seems too... intimate. I'd as soon consider eating breastmilk ice cream as I'd consider suckling it myself, from the source. Bleah.

Can't you get HIV from breast milk?

Oooh, I would have been good for that. I remember when I gave my first baby a big suckle, that became too much for his gastric stretch receptors just as the child health nurse walked in the door. As a New Mom, I was freaking, but the nurse just looked at all the completely undigested milk running down his front and said "You're a very 'full cream' cow, aren't you?"

Doc, it was pulled off the market. Here is the link.
