The following note is from a doc who specializes in weight loss, trying to figure out why the patient is still heavy. I personally would have worded this differently, as there are some details about my patients' lives that I just don't want to know.

If he's into binging and purging, does he have to write down each thing twice?
But wait...what if it's broken cookies? Because broken cookies contain no calories. Nor does food taken off another persons plate, and any food consumed while preparing a meal is also calorieless. Really. Seriously. It's a scientifically proven fact. :)
This blog is entirely for entertainment purposes. All posts about patients, or my everyday life, or anything else may be fictional, or be my experience, or were submitted by a reader, or any combination of the above. Factual statements may or may not be accurate. I could be making all this up. I may not even be a doctor. The only true statement on here is that I probably drink more Diet Coke than you do. A lot more.

Hey man, that stuff has calories too and SHOULD BE COUNTED. In high school, it was rumored that it was the same amount of calories as an entire pizza!
Not exactly a ringing endorsement of weight loss science.
I think in 100 years, history is not going to look kindly on medical science in relation to weight control.

Because part of the mechanism that makes the valproates work also makes you fat. Duh!

Yeah! And ANYTHING you eat, no matter how many calories, is canceled out by the anti-calories in Diet Coke, if you have them together.
