"I have pain! Please call me back!"
If this was you, leaving your name and/or phone number in the future would be helpful. We do not have caller ID (if we did my staff wouldn't answer the phones at all).

Your patients are nuts!
Does your answering message specifically ask the patients to leave their name and number? It seems to happen to you a lot....
Yes, it clearly states that.
Now, now, if the phones had Caller I.D., surely your staff would go ahead and answer regardless of who was on the other line. They're doctors' employees, not lawyers'.
Don't ask me how I know what I know about legal secretaries...

it was me. please call me. I'm in pain. thanks.
Caller ID is why I cuss as soon as I see the call center's number pop up on my cell.
I'm in so much pain, trying to decide what school district to send my kids to. Please help me Dr. Grumpy! I'll wait by the phone.
