"It's for the neurologist. You know how he can be."

A nurse writes that, when she arrived to work yesterday, this was the state of the galley fridge at her ICU:

Thank you, J!

I couple of times of the years, I had to care for severe alcoholics as inpatients. The Valium protocol did not work and the patients refused to quit drinking. So, I actually had to write in the orders to serve 1 beer with each meal three times daily. The family brought in beer to store in the fridge. The younger nursing staff thought they were being pranked! lol

"It's for the neurologist"????
If the neurologist is drinking beer during rounds, there is a BIG, BIG problem.

At least he has the decency to have Ranch dressing with his beer. Cocktail sauce or ketchup really would not be a good match.

Why the Dutch beer? There are so many tastier types. And if it's the alcohol (s)he is looking for, why is the beer even there? Just stick with the vodka in the freezer...
