Poor woman, that's a lot of stuff to deal with....
...and stuff and everything. I worked with a woman from Arkansas that said this. Drove me freakin' nuts! I would always ask her what stuff and what is everything.
That makes MY head hurt.....
Who's your friend when things get rough?
I'm assuming you told her to "Stuff it".
So she comes in because her head hurts and you get her some meds which she doesn't take and then comes back saying her head hurts? I don't get it.
Does this happen a lot? Seems counterintuitive.
All kinds of stuff like this happens.
I think I would have told her to stuff it.
Maybe a brain transplant would help.
That is some serious stuff. I had a technician who would always ask customers, "Have we filled stuff for you before?" Made me wince a little.
sadly I know exactly what she's talking about. Chronic migraines, in my experience (not that that is what she has) didn't exactly increase my erudition.
Is she a George Carlin fan? I love his stuff routine :)
I had a client a few weeks back tell me her vomiting dog got into "some stuff." she denied the "stuff" being any legal or illegal drug, cleaning product, garbage, clothing, garden materials, shoes, sporting goods, school supplies, or food items.I asked again what it was, and she said "you know, stuff." sadly he recovered uneventfully without surgery so I never found out what the stuff was.
This lady is full of stuff!
Did you say "start the dam meds, and you will feel better"? "and untill you take them all, don't come back" My first thoughts.
Do you suspect that she's not much fun to play Mad Libs with?
The bad stuff is always bad; we all need good stuff to fix it.
ha! That stupid stuff will get you every time....
Gee, the only time I don't take the stuff is when I can't afford it!! And even then I call up the doc's office & tell them... at least if the stuff that made me need the stuff lets me remember the stuff that... (I promise, when I start talking like that I apologize!!).
briberwo - a bribe given by a patient that makes the day of the doctor & their staff.
I'm with the commenter that got a headache trying to parse all that!
I see you have met my husband. Complains about something, gets a med, never takes it. Me: "Why did you even go to the Dr. then?" Him: Blank stare.
Right. I someone beat me to the George Carlin line.
However minced my brain is I can get the difference between the headache being about the same and the headache being worse. Never mind the stuff.
Stuff the lot of them!
___________ (adj) comment, Anon 6:31PM. Too bad more _________ (noun) do not tell their ___________(noun) to get over themselves. After I went in for my ________(#) sinus infection and the ___________(noun) found out I wasn't finishing my antibiotics. ______(pronoun) ripped me a new ________(noun). It wasn't that I didn't want to finish, I just felt better and __________ (verb, past tense). However, I am quite ________ (adj) now about taking my meds. It takes a _________ (noun) to get me to the doctor, but I take my meds. And stuff.
Leigh - that's a very open close exercise (if you see what I mean). Don't we get a list of possible words (with some to spare) to shuffle around into the spaces? Soooo much more frustrating...
Did anyone get my Mad Lib reference? Wow, I guess I'll have to turn in my sense of humor badge and stuff this afternoon. I thought I was making a clever pop culture reference too.
Leigh, I understood it. I am a Mad Lib person. Thanks.
Mad Libs got me through all those long car trips with the family when I was in junior high. They are still around, too!
Pharmacist here... the best is when the patient lies to about taking their medication... we do a lot of hormone replacement therapy... Patient: "I am still having a lot of hot flashes" Pharmacist: "Are you taking your medication twice a day, every day?" Patient: "Of course! I NEVER miss a dose!" Pharmacist: "That's funny, since your last refill of a month supply was 120 days ago." and on, and on, and on. Happens at least once a day at our store.
The minister at my church uses "stuff," too, and I'd like to knock the stuffing out of her when she uses the word. She uses it to indicate she is coming down to our level. Yes, I'm a Uniterian. Uggghh...
