Truth in advertising

I'd like to thank my reader, Nicki, for submitting this photo from the U.K.

While some may claim this has nothing to do with neurology, the statement "Always in the shit, only the depth varies" sums up most of my days.

My local septic guy's truck says: "OUR BUSINESS STINKS"

One of my friends was a plumber for a while. His truck had a sticker that read "Your poo is our bread and butter."

There used to be a company in the midwest somewhere named "Big John's Septic Service". I had one of their matchbooks years ago. In Denver there's a company called "Pooper Scooper" that contracts to clean up after your dog in your yard.

How sad is it that my first thought was whereabouts that was taken because that petrol is damn cheap.

I am hearing the Ghostbusters theme song as I read this.

The septic truck in Pond Inlet had "Yesterday's Meals on Wheels" painted on the side.

Loved it.

Sooo - did anyone else notice the email address? DILIGAF means Do I Look Like I Give A F*CK...it's a common motorcycle vest patch or helmet sticker....

Lab tech: yes, it does look cheap at first glance, but after currency conversion, it comes out to roughly $1.50 per litre. Even more roughly, $6 per gallon - decidedly not cheap.

It's a rather old image and it has been round for a while. i can't remember where I first saw it. Tineye finds it in 5 places on the Web, for example, on the UK AutoBuyer web site in August 2007.

Some more clues - the UK dialling code on the back of the van, 01444, is for Haywards Heath in Sussex and I surely wish I was paying 95.9 pence per litre for gas at the moment. It's now £1.20 per litre or $10.05 per US gallon.

Come on down to rehab on the evening shift, when we do bowel programs...the smell will tell you we're successful!

And no, we don't advertise on busses.

Why can't we get away with stuff like that over here?
