Monday Morning, 12:08 a.m.

My cell phone beeps. Someone has left this message:

"Hi, I have an appointment with Dr. Grumpy. I think it's this Monday, or maybe it's next Monday. Anyway, it's on some Monday, and I won't be able to make it. Thank you!"

And, of course, no name or number left.

Is there a city-wide gas leak in your town or something? This is just getting ridiculous.

Well, at least you know somebody won't be showing up, one of these Mondays. Sigh....

I continue to be amazed by the number of people that call and don't leave ANY contact information. As a pharmacist, I come across this occasionally but we don't get nearly as many patient messages as you do. You'd think they would at least realize it and call back! (Which would also make for a great post I bet.)

Stephanie- pharmacists and doctors are both just failures at mind-reading.

Many patients just aren't able to accept this fact.

I'm a pharmacist and I just love it when patients call and the first thing out of their mouth is i need my medicine filled and then they pause. No name or nothing, I have to drag it out of them. And some seem to get mad b/c I ask them their birthdate!

By the way, I LOVE your blog!!
