Dr. Grumpy: "Does she have any family?"
Social worker: "Nothing. No kids, siblings, anything. Not even friends we can find. Her landlord says she once mentioned a 2nd or 3rd cousin in Michigan."
Dr. Grumpy: "Do we have a name?"
Social worker: "Thought the first name is Sue. That's all he knows."
Dr. Grumpy: "Well, that definitely narrows it down."

That's really depressing.
Time to call in the state
Oh dear. I suppose that means that Sue always paid cash for rent? Either that or her landlord has a sieve for a brain. Poor Sue. To be in such a situation that no one remembers your full name. Bless her.
I think that is every woman's greatest fear... to someday be no one to anyone.
I hope they find someone for her.
That is the saddest thing I have ever heard.
Perhaps the docs, if Mrs. Coma is terminal, can sign her into a good hospice so she can be loved and made comfortable until the end. Souns lonely but some do prefer it that way.
Well, right now we're trying to find Sue in Michigan.
Shouldn't be too hard, how many can there be? 4, maybe 5 max?
Well, as you know, all the Jews know each other, so maybe all the Sues know each other too!
A sad example of how important our social connections are. Friends can be every bit as important as family.
Yes, very sad indeed. I hope somebody can find something in her home connecting her to her relatives.
