Every day a neurologist has to deal with many serious medical questions. Annie and I constantly exchange email concerning critical patient problems and other important issues.
Here, for example, is a conversation excerpt on a patient who called in for urgent medical advice.
Gee...maybe I should wasted my doctor's time like that. Lord knows he hasn't been able to come up with a drug that will work for my migraines that isn't a health hazard.
Hey, I have known physicians who have their office sect/MA go out and shop FOR THEIR FAMILY or worse yet, mistress, as part of "other duites as required"...
As a pre-med... comments like these make me second guess the "enjoyment" and "fulfillement" I am going to feel helping people with my career.... not sure how I would respond to this question... but I guess I would advise her on something I would like. Ha!
This blog is entirely for entertainment purposes. All posts about patients may be fictional, or be my experience, or were submitted by a reader, or any combination of the above. Factual statements may or may not be accurate.

A nice reflex hammer is always appreciated.
Candlesticks are always nice.
Dr Grumpy swag, of course.

ONE opthalmologist?
Surely she should be seeing two ? ;-)
Did you or Annie send that? Someone @ your office has wicked sense of humor!
Which husband? Advise her to buy TWO presents to be safe.
The little rooster, of course.
Dr. Grumpy's Holiday hotline...how about a nice apron?
Maybe the transcriptionist was listening in on two phones?
How is that even medically relevant? Why would any doctor place that one a report? I'm curious.... for a laugh?
I work at a veterinary clinic. We got a message the other day asking, "which would win in a fight - a moose or a polar bear?"
So what is the answer, Lori?
Well, polar bear, of course :P!
