I'm guessing some combination of "the kids are finally old enough to be embarrassed about what you say about them" and/or "the rest of the family suggested you get your face out of your phone and RELAX for a change."

It's probably the right thing to do but selfishly, I am disappointed. Don't they realize that you are a National Treasure and meant to be shared with the world? Enjoy your time away from us, if that is even possible, :-)
I do enjoy your vacation commentary, but time away from your PC/phone is always a good thing! Time with your family....even better.....well, usually ;-)
I also hope everything is o.k., I'm trusting it is just a temporary, mandatory family-time imposed on you. I enjoy the blog, thank you for sharing, it brightens my day :-)

my guess is you took your laptop to the pawn stars pawn shop in vegas and once they knew it was the one used by Dr. Grumpy, they gave you 50K for it
