At my family's request, I am ending the current Summer vacation series. I will return to regular blogging on August 20, 2012.

Factual statements may or may not be accurate. I could be making all this up. I may not even be a doctor. The only true statement on here is that I probably drink more Diet Coke than you do. A lot more.

I'm guessing some combination of "the kids are finally old enough to be embarrassed about what you say about them" and/or "the rest of the family suggested you get your face out of your phone and RELAX for a change."
Whatever it is, kick back and TRY to have a good time. :)
Perhaps your family doesn't have the same sense of humor your readers do about having their (mis)adventures posted on the world wide web. Enjoy the vacation. We'll look for you in a week or so.

It's probably the right thing to do but selfishly, I am disappointed. Don't they realize that you are a National Treasure and meant to be shared with the world? Enjoy your time away from us, if that is even possible, :-)
I do enjoy your vacation commentary, but time away from your PC/phone is always a good thing! Time with your family....even better.....well, usually ;-)
I also hope everything is o.k., I'm trusting it is just a temporary, mandatory family-time imposed on you. I enjoy the blog, thank you for sharing, it brightens my day :-)

my guess is you took your laptop to the pawn stars pawn shop in vegas and once they knew it was the one used by Dr. Grumpy, they gave you 50K for it
