Patient quote of the day

"I have blood pressure spontaneously. I mean, I don't always have blood pressure, because most of the time I don't, but sometimes, out of the blue, it occurs."

An RN who worked in public health told me their patients often presented with the complaint, "I got sinuses."

We in pathology call those "corpses."

Except for the 'it happens' part. Zombies, maybe?

Ooooooooo-kay.

Wv: solfusib which sounds like a good name for a drug for those who have sinuses.

I've always enjoyed people who ask if they should stop their medications because their blood pressure is now fine. They never seem to make the connection that it's fine because of their medications.

Ask them what happens when they stop putting gas into their car. It stops working, right? Same with the blood pressure meds - without them, your blood pressure doesn't stay fine for long.

I support the zombie theory. Or vampirism. Love the blog, by the way. =]

I'm sorry I took any "adult" beverages before I read your blog today. Wouldn't have needed it if I had just come here first! I hate to waste a good "comfort" sip...

Bit like "I've got a temperature". Like I always say, where would you be without it?

I hate those days when I don't have blood pressure. It usually means a "Venti" size at Starbucks......

I once knew a lady who complained on the days her blood was high!
