I was expecting the link to go to "I'm My Own Grandpa," but that makes more sense.
I expected the same as Moose.
In fairness, "Mother--Son" is an accurate bilateral description of the relationship, like "Husband--Wife" or "Cousins". The form, of course, was asking for a unilateral descriptor.
Clearly, these are the days of gender fluidity.
I was thinking "Mother and Child Reunion" by Paul Simon

I have to admit I was expecting "I'm My Own Grandpa" too.
Mother divided by son?
I was also expecting 'My Own Grandpa"...tom Lehrer made me laugh out loud..but then I had TWO simultaneous earworms going for a while..felt like I had tuned in to the sound track of a sitcom family therapy session!
Thanks, I think, Dr. Grumpy!
The answer to this question eludes me too. Often when I am looking at the 'contact' and see the answer to the relationship between the person mentioned since it doesn't have a date of birth, I wonder which is the 'child' or 'parent'. I guess it doesn't matter much when whoever is mentioned is the contact.
It took me a while to figure out which button to press on the elevator, too, the 'up' or the 'down', but then I was in the basement and there was only one button to push.
Self-policing grammar ... I mean (anonymous at 3:07) .. it doesn't really matter in the generic record as to the answer is 'child' or 'parent' in the the situation for whom someone just wants a name of a contact. Still, I think that it could be worded a little differently such as 'relationship TO the patient'
it makes me unreasonably happy that I knew exactly what song it was going to be.
Or, what happens when two members of the family decide to share one insurance card.
As a Lehrer fan, this was the first song I thought of. You did not disappoint. :-D
