Dr. Grumpy: "Hmmm. Well, we have room to increase your Spazinox dose, so let's try going to 100mg twice a day."
Mr. Migraine: "Will that help the headaches?"
Dr Grumpy: "I'm hoping so. Let me..."
Mr. Migraine: "I don't get it. How will increasing the dose make it rain less?"
Dr. Grumpy: "No, it makes it harder for your nerves to start a headache."
Mr. Migraine: "Okay... I guess that makes more sense."

At last the truth is out -- migraine meds are controlling the weather.
It all makes so much sense now... I mean, they talk about "thunderclap" headaches, right?
It only makes more sense in the real world, not here.

Who'll Stop The Rain?
Was pt having a migraine at the time? Sounds like it.
But, with more rain coming here, I can sympathize. Paging CCR!

Lilly used to distribute gag promotional materials and some lucky pharmacist picked up a real doozy at one of the conventions; a plaque of a giant orange Darvocet tablet at least 2 ft long 'for a headache THAT big'. (My elderly mother was on warfarin at the time and allergic to potent opiates. Some less conscionable doctors wrote for Darvocet and at the time we learned in pharmacy school that it was on par with aspirin for relief but very addicting, so I advised acetaminophen and when she mentioned that it did very little for her pain, I asked what the Darvocet did. She wasn't a fan. She said it gave her a stomachache but surely something that orange would do something, wouldn't it? What clinched the deal for her was that when the bright pink generic came out, she couldn't stand it at all. Poor Mom. She's been one tough cookie when it comes to pain tolerance; a hot water 'bottle' and a bottle of horse liniment in the medicine cabinet. Sometimes mentholated salve helps.
I've been saying it for years- climate change isn't caused by the fossil fuel industry. It's caused by the pharmaceutical industry. So go pick on them instead.
