Mr. Gray: "I didn't bring my test results. My grandson said they were fine."

Dr. Grumpy: "Is he a doctor?"

Mr. Gray: "No, he's in high school. But he volunteers at the hospital."

I bet she left your office and came to the pharmacy and said, "I need (insert medication here). Oprah said it works, so I need it."

I wish I could say that conversation hasn't happened at least 50 times in my lifetime, but it has.

Doc,

How appropriate! I am finding that patients don't like the procedures I'm doing in a clinic, so they're requesting extra meds we don't administer (and can't due to equipment needs and regulations), "'cause I do better with them than without."

Hmm...and you want this procedure because..?

I know you're not making this up... It's too bizarre to make up. Is the name of your practice along the lines of "Nutjobs-R-Us"?
WF: laviva --- is that cheering for a lavatory?

As I always say, a volunteer armchair quack is more virtuous (not to mention correct) than a plain armchair quack.

Tell him his malpractice insurance has lapsed tho.

wv: colur (pronounced cull-lure)- a posh way of saying colour.

"I'm not a Dr., but I play one on the Internet."

LOL.

Now I am all too curious as to what kind of "volunteer work" the grandson is doing at the hospital.

There is a reason why hospitals are underutilized (buzz word of the year) underutilization--which as the Doc. will tell you means that patients are just refusing to go to hospitals ---and I think it is because they have people off the street reading test results.

To be fair, if the results came with the lab normal ranges printed alongside, he may have just checked that all the results fell within the normal ranges for the lab. It doesn't take a doctor to do that. Of course, it doesn't mean there is nothing to be learnt from the findings, when considered together rather than individually, either.
