My current patient and her husband...

Have just started arguing over which of them sneezes more loudly.

Where do I find these people?

Wouldn't it be where do they find you?

How many patients do you see in an average day?

Of those patients, how many give you great blog material?

Do you specialize in any one area of neurology that you meet some of these patients that you do? Or do you see a little of this and a little of that, with not emphasis in any one area?

Sounds like normal spousal behavior to me.

Some people will argue about anything, and then they find someone else who also likes to argue about anything, and yet somehow agree to get married, and then eventually they run out of other things to argue about... and voila!! You were just the lucky winner today..

I just found this blog yesterday and have read back quite a ways- it is AWESOME!! I love it for a lot of reasons, and it makes me realize the crazies are NOT all at our hospital. (I am a pediatric nurse.)

Also... this is off topic of your other posts, but re: your interest in naval history- have you ever heard any of Gordon Bok's songs? Some of your posts remind me of them- Three Score and Ten, for one. He lives in Maine and wrote many songs about New England, many of them about the sea.

Okay, long comment over now. Thanks for listening.

No, never heard of him. Now I'll have to find out more. Thank you!

It's folk music, may not be your style, but he has a great voice and good at telling a story through his music. Probably his most famous songs are Isle Au Haut Lullaby, and Turning Toward the Morning (not really about the sea, but an amazing song.)

I'm starting to wonder if all the family physicians in Dr. Grumpy's area deliberately refer their looniest patients to him. (You're not paranoid if they really are out to get you...).

Gordon Bok is also an amazing wood carver. Several of them are of the sea, boats ect. Be sure to check them out also.I think you will like them.

You should introduce them to the earwax lady. I think they'd really hit it off.

Dr. Grumpy: Until today I was a skeptic about witchcraft, but you are evidence that some people have been cursed.

I love that you blogged about this while they were still in your office! You did, right?

Dr. Grumpy, do you know any ENT specialists whom you dislike? If so, give that couple a joint referral to him/her and tell them the ENT specialist will adjudicate...

As for someone being cursed......I think it's Ibee (NOT A PEDOPHILE) Grumpy, MD and not his patients. :0)

I know your readers are blessed because if your patients weren't hit over the head (WITH GREAT FORCE) with the "crazy stick," you wouldn't be cursed, and if you weren't cursed we would be left without entertainment.

Thanks for taking a hit for us!

I think you must live in a place called "Crazytown" cuz I do not know where else these folks would live.

It could have been much worse.....
like worst-smelling farts, with an impromptu competition in your office!
Have a nice (what might have been) day!

Of course they're arguing about sneezes. They can't compare penis size.

Poor Grumpy... but more entertaining stories for us!

I always sneeze 3 times....

except when the sun hits me in the eye after coming out of a dark building...

then I sneeze about 20 times...

which is nothing to sneeze at...

I'm with the commenter who noted that it's comforting to realize that there are crazy people in places other than where I work. Although on reflection that means there are More Of Them...

at least they didn't ask you to be the judge

Gordon Bok was known as the loud sneezer of Maine , in his prime.
