Serves him right. I don't feel bad for him at all.
Gotta watch those racoons. Terribly dangerous. Shoot on sight. Just because they LOOK cute and cuddly does not mean we shouldn't exterminate with extreme prejudice--or they might break into your garbage cans and steal your trash.

Actually, I could almost understand using a live trap and then shooting the animal, if you wanted the animal to suffer less. (Compare it to being stuck in a claw trap for hours and *then* being shot.). I wouldn't call it humane, but maybe it's somewhat less inhumane.

imho- shooting creatures in cages includes shooting them in game parks.
I do not care for the animals, every dog I ever had tangled with them at one time or another. I used to trap them and transport them across town and release them in the woods. It worked well for a time. Until the folks on the other side of town got wise, and started bringing them back. Trafficing in live animals is a dangerous game.

I live in Iowa and I don't want to give the impression that folks may not be the smartest, but infants have been falling out of windows so the suggestion has been made to have classes for parents. One wonders what they would be: Windows 101 - the two positions open and closed; Crack pipe management, when to lay it down; Our friend the window screen?
