"Hi! I'm a patient of yours and I'm 8 months pregnant and my water broke and I've started having regular contractions and I think I need to go to the hospital and can the doctor please call me back ASAP because OH SHIT! I THINK I CALLED THE WRONG DOCTOR PLEASE IGNORE THIS MESSAGE!"
I think she deserves a pass, too. She was dealing with an OMG issue. If you figure out who she was, you might consider a follow-up call with (one hopes) congratulations.
This blog is entirely for entertainment purposes. All posts about patients, or my everyday life, or anything else may be fictional, or be my experience, or were submitted by a reader, or any combination of the above. Factual statements may or may not be accurate. I could be making all this up. I may not even be a doctor. The only true statement on here is that I probably drink more Diet Coke than you do. A lot more.

I think she gets a pass on this one.
lol - at least it was the wrong dr .. bet it's been awhile since you did a delivery :)
Hahaha, well, so much for the odd daily message!
Better than a pants-dial from the bar I suppose.
Poor thing, she was so nervous she called the wrong person. I would call her to see how she's doing (or congratulate her), though! =)
LMAO!
er's mom- please help
Hahahahahaha I bet you were GLAD she realized and hung up rather than stayed on the line and refused to believe she'd called the wrong number!
I think our answering service patched her through to the wrong doc. I have that happen before.
But this advice is easy : Go to labor and delivery. I think even a neurologist could handle this one. ;)
p.s. welcome to my life!
