Idiots

Today it POURED here in Grumpyville. But my car was running low, so on the way home I pulled into a gas station to fill-up.

It was one of those places that has an automatic car wash, where you can pay at the pump for a wash, then drive through the thing.

So guess what? In FREAKIN' POURING RAIN I saw 3-5 cars go into the car wash, get cleaned up, THEN DRIVE BACK OUT INTO THE DOWNPOUR and go on their merry way.

Seriously. WTF people?

Probably the main reason (besides being tight with money, and impatient for waiting) why I only wash my car 2 or 3 times a year - the rain normally covers the need except in the summer.

I can think of only one reason to be all alone in a fairly dark place and at the same time, I realize there really isn't enough time to um,....
So I think Idiots just about covers it.

Sometimes I don't really care about getting the car perfectly clean, I just want to get the bird poop off of it.

Maybe their cars were so dirty that rain alone wouldn't clean them.

Is this one of those car washes that gives a free re-do if it rains?

Otherwise, idiots.

Must have been "car washing day". If it is "car washing day" then the car must be washed.

Car wash = fun! DUH!

And it's not just fun, it's also extremely good at quieting down screaming children.

Consider them future patients that will help send the kids to college! Too bad you couldn't get your business card to them. :)

2 possibilities: Free carwash Friday

They knew you were watching....oops,said to much
Doc, for a smart guy I am surprised that you haven't figured out that the entire world is engaged in a conspiracy to drive you nuts, we have joined the conspiracy of your patients.

Reminds me of my father telling me:
If you are going in one direction and the entire world is going in the opposite direction, you might want to check your compass

My car gets washed only when hubby gets so totally and royally embarrassed that he goes out and does it himself.

Sometimes I amaze myself with my brilliant adaptations to married life.

The Mother - we need to go for a beverage together sometime! I never thought anyone else was as much like me!

Himself seems to think it is bad for a car to be dirty or driven in a high gear (Brit car = stick) - the last one is in perfect condition mechanically after 180,000 miles treated thus. I do agree to a quick spin through the wash when we've been to GB and the seagulls on the east coast have used it for target practice though.

The rain doesn't seem to get the bird poop and tree sex all off my vehicle.

Exposure to the rain softens the deposits of dirt and grime, making it easier for the carwash to remove.

Sure, you go out and get more dirt, but it's NEW dirt, and there's likely less of it.

The one anonymous and Moose said it all. Rain doesn't completely wash your car. My driver's side and passenger's side windows have a thin layer of white grime. All last week, it rained in my part of the country. As I drove, everything on my windshield was deposited to my side windows. I also have brake dust on my front tires. Didn't really do much for that either.

One of the reasons I rarely get my car washed- the weather in western ny sucks. I only go to the card wash if I want the inside cleaned, I don't really care about the outside.

Obviously, you don't understand basic physics. It is well established that it always rains after you wash your car. So basic logic dictates that if it is raining and you wash your car, the rain will stop. And it did eventually stop raining, right? So these people that you so severely criticize were merely performing a public service.

I would like to know how big your gas tank is. The car wash at the gas station I go to takes 5 - 10 minutes per car, so if the car wash at the gas station you go to is similar, you were pumping gas for between 15 - 50 minutes! :o

In August I witnessed someone watering their lawn six hours before a hurricane hit.
