Dead men tell no tales...

Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me!

We pillage, we plunder, we rifle, and loot,
Drink up, me hearties, yo ho.
We kidnap and ravage and don't give a hoot,
Drink up me hearties, yo ho.

Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me!

We extort, we pilfer, we filch, and we sack,
Drink up, me hearties, yo ho.
Maraud and embezzle, and even hijack,
Drink up, me hearties, yo ho.

Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me!

We kindle and char, inflame and ignite,
Drink up, me hearties, yo ho.
We burn up the city, we're really a fright,
Drink up, me hearties, yo ho.

We're rascals, scoundrels, villains, and knaves,
Drink up, me hearties, yo ho.
We're devils and black sheep, really bad eggs,
Drink up, me hearties, yo ho.

Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me!

We're beggars and blighters, ne'er-do-well cads,
Drink up, me hearties, yo ho.
Aye, but we're loved by our mommies and dads,
Drink up, me hearties, yo ho

Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me!

We are the pirates who don't do anything, we just stay at home, and lie around.
And if you ask us, to do anything, we'll just tell you, we don't do anything

Well I've never been to Greenland and I've never been to Denver,
and I've never buried treasure in ST Louie or ST Paul
and I've never been to Moscow, and I've never been to Tampa
and I've never been to Boston in the fall

We are the pirates who don't do anything, we just stay at home, and lie around
And if you ask us, to do anything, we'll just tell you, we don't do anything

And I've never hoist the main sail and I've never swabbed the poop deck
and I've never veered starboard, cause I've never sailed at all
and I've never walked the gang plank and I've never owned a parrot.
and I've never been to Boston in the fall

We are the pirates who don't do anything, we just stay at home, and lie around
And if you ask us, to do anything, we'll just tell you, we don't do anything

I've never plucked a rooster and I am not too good at ping-pong
and I've never thrown my mashed potatoes up against the wall
and I've never kissed a chipmunk, and I've never gotten head lice
and I have never been to Boston in the fall

And I've never licked a spark-plug and I've never sniffed a stink bug
and I've never painted Daisies on a big red rubber ball
and I've never bathed in yogurt and I don't look good in leggings
and I've never been to Boston in the fall

We are the pirates who don't do anything, we just stay at home, and lie around
And if you ask us, to do anything, we'll just tell you, we don't do anything

If you wake at midnight, and hear a horse’s feet
Don't go drawing back the blinds, or looking in the street
Them that asks no questions isn’t told a lie
Watch the wall my darling when the gentlemen go by.
Chorus:
Five and twenty ponies trotting through the dark
Brandy for the parson, baccy for the clerk
Laces for a lady, letters for a spy
And watch the wall my darling, while the gentlemen go by.

2. Running round the woodlump if you chance to find
Little barrel, roped and tarred, all full of brandy-wine
Don't shout to come and look, nor use ‘em for your play
Put the brishwood back again - they’ll be gone next day.
Chorus:

3. If you see the stable door setting open wide;
If you see a tired horse lying down inside;
If your mother mends a coat cut about and tore;
If the lining’s wet and warm - don't you ask no more!
Chorus:

4. If you met King George’s men, dressed in blue and red,
You be careful what you say, and mindful what is said.
If they call you, "Pretty maid", and chuck you ‘neath the chin
Don't you tell where no one is, nor yet where no ones been.
Chorus:

5. Knocks and footsteps round the house - whistles after dark
You’ve no call for running out till the house dogs bark
Trusty’s here, and Pincher’s here, and see how dumb the lie
They don't fret to follow when the gentlemen go by!
Chorus:

6. If you do as you've been told, likely there’s a chance
You’ll be give a dainty doll, all the way from France
With a cap of Valenciennes and a velvet hood
A present from the gentlemen, along ‘o being good.
Chorus:
Five and twenty ponies trotting through the dark
Brandy for the parson, baccy for the clerk
Them that asks no questions isn’t told a lie
Watch the wall my darling when the gentlemen go by.

I'm especially fond of the cover of "The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything" by the band Reliant K.

I mean, I'm not a Christian Rock fan [I'm not even Christian] but how can you say anything bad about a band that covered the theme song to the tv show "Charles in Charge"?

It was Happy Pirate Day and I missed it???

Now I'll have to stow my leather miniskirt and cutlass for another year. Darn.

I once got stuck on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disneyland for almost 2 hours, in the tunnel where that song plays.

I will never be able to get it out of my brain cells.
